Specifications
Construction:
Made of Incense Cedar. Frame
joints glued and doweled on 1" centers. 3/4"
x 1 1/4" meeting stiles with optional rabbeted or
plain joints. Hanging stiles are within a range of 3/4"
x 1 1/4" to 1 3/4". Rails are 5/8" thick

to 4 5/8", bottom rails ranging from 2" to 5
5/8", and divider rails in optional widths of 2",

tilt rod attached by 3/16" crown cemented staples.
Louver width is 1/16" less than rail size with a
tolerance of plus or minus 1/32" and will not be
considered defective if falling within this size range,
however, all louvers within a shutter will not vary in
width by more than 1/32". Warpage on any component
part, vertical or horizontal shall not exceed 1/32"
per foot and will not be considered a defect if within
this tolerance.
Finishing:
The finishing process for painted
shutters consists of the following steps: (1) sand the
unfinished wood (2) inspect and repair or replace any
defective part (3) seal (4) spray prime coat (5) hand
sand (6) inspect (7) spray two top coats (8) inspect.
Stained shutters follow a similar process - (1) sand the

will not be accepted as defects.
Limitations:
It is recommended that shutters
above 40" in height be ordered with a divider rail
and that individual panel width does not exceed 18".
In the case of vertical louvers, the maximum recommended
height without divider rails is 30". We may exceed
these recommended limitations at your request, but cannot
accept responsibility for problems that might result.
